Great Torrington Junior School

We are currently creating this new website which will be easier to use and more useful for you in finding the information you want.

There are lots of pages to update so some of the links will be to pages that are not yet fully completed. We have, however, decided to move over to this new version already since a lot of the information on the old site was out of date anyway.

It is very important that you are kept up-to-date with what is happening at the school. We have concentrated on the pages that tell you what is going on at the school and that allow you to get in touch with us if you have any questions.

Some of the pages that are ready - although even they will be being further updated:

Fairer Funding for Schools

Fairer Funding for Schools

Devon is the fourth lowest funded area of England for education and the gap between the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’ continues to widen.

The education of 96,000 children and young people in Devon is affected by the relative low level of funding schools receive from central government.

Devon schools have launched a campaign to persuade government to tackle the inequalities in funding for schools and end the post-code lottery that affects the young people of our county.

Devon County Council is a supporter of F40, a national campaign group representing the lowest funded education authorities in England.
